Program description

Interested in money, business and working with people? Conestoga's Business Administration - Financial Planning advanced diploma can prepare you for a rewarding career in financial planning and advising.

You'll learn how money works and how to help people make informed financial decisions. Build skills in investing, retirement planning, taxation, insurance and financial planning while exploring behavioural finance and the ways emotions, habits and biases can influence financial decision-making.

Graduates are prepared to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals, from purchasing a first home and saving for education to building wealth and planning for retirement. With opportunities in financial planning, banking, investments, insurance and wealth management, you can build a career where business knowledge and helping people go hand-in-hand.

Professional certification pathways

Graduates complete the educational requirements for the Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP™) designation and the Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP).

Students can also pursue advanced standing into Year 4 of Conestoga's Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) - International Business Management degree, creating a pathway toward meeting the educational requirements for the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) certification.
